FARS GRADE LESSONS
FARS Graded lessons follow the Federation of Artistic Roller Skating skill levels.
Grade 1 requirements start from skating and stopping without falling over, progressing through to Grade 6 which involves some basic jumps, spin, etc.
On Tuesdays, each grade has its own section of the rink with a dedicated instructor to help and explain what is required at that particular level. The onus is on the individual to practice (practice and practice some more!) until the instructor feels they are for grading. The judge then comes and assesses their abilities, if they pass they can move onto the next grade, and get the relevant grade badge!
For adults, designed to gain and build skating confidence. Learn the basic skills such as starting and stopping, forward and backward, co-ordination, cornering, jumps and turns – plus have fun!
(Term Time Only)
FARS GRADE 6
Grade 6+ are held on Thursdays 4pm-5pm, alongside RetroSkate GY Artistic Roller Skating Club’s sessions.
